Description of Book
Forty Hadith Qudsi – Ezzedin Ibrahim & Denys Johnson-Davies | Sacred Divine Sayings in Islam
Forty Hadith Qudsi is a deeply meaningful compilation of forty authenticated Hadith Qudsi — sayings in which Allah communicates through Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, but not in the Qur’anic wording. The translators, Ezzedin Ibrahim and Denys Johnson-Davies, have selected these narrations from classical hadith sources and provided a clear, readable English rendering alongside the original Arabic text. The book includes a scholarly introduction that explains the nature of Hadith Qudsi, how they differ from both Qur’anic verses and ordinary hadith, and why they hold a unique spiritual and doctrinal place in Islamic tradition.
